SuperLight Air Batteries are engineered for the rigors of flight and seamless compatibility with the Astro platform. Designed for both performance and convenience, they feature built-in battery management that removes the need for balance connectors, simplifying operation while ensuring reliability. A smart microprocessor oversees charging, discharging, and health monitoring, while an integrated OLED display provides clear real-time data on charge status, voltage, current, and more.
The SL8-Air includes a USB-C Power Delivery port capable of powering or charging external devices, including laptops. Each Astro system requires two SL8-Air batteries per flight, delivering up to 37 minutes of flight time per pair. The batteries recharge rapidly in about 90 minutes with the SL8 Fast Charger and are airline carry-on compatible at 157Wh each. Though designed specifically for Astro, the SL8-Air can also be used with any device that uses the Freefly Open Battery Interface.
